On December 22, 2016, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on Canvasback Lane for a burglary in progress. Deputies observed a maroon GMC Yukon fleeing the area, matching the description of the suspect vehicle, and were able to stop the vehicle. The occupants of the vehicle were identified as Colby J. Palmer, 18 of Easton, MD as well as two 16 year old juvenile males, who were detained and transported to the Sheriff’s Office. A fourth individual, Nicholas Conley, 18 of Easton, MD was located in a passenger vehicle a short distance from the burglary site. Investigation revealed the home owner was awoken by a banging sound and went to investigate. The home owner observed Conley attempting to break down a back door to the residence by slamming his body into it. Conley then attempted to break in through a sliding glass door, also at the rear of the residence. The home owner confronted Conley, who then fled into the wooded area behind the residence. The owner also observed several other subjects in the wooded area near the residence flee when he confronted Conley. The juveniles were referred to the Department of Juvenile Services for burglary and trespassing, and were released to their parents. Palmer and Conley were charged with burglary and trespassing and were taken before the District Court Commissioner. Palmer and Conley were ordered help pending further court action.
On December 23, 2016, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office served an arrest warrant on Tavon Anderick Bowser 29, of Cordova, MD. A Circuit Court warrant was issued for Bowser’s arrest for possession of a controlled dangerous substance and resisting arrest. Bowser was ordered held at the Talbot County Detention Center pending a bond review.
DWI/LIQUOR LAW VIOLATION:
On December 23, 2016, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office observed a motor vehicle on Brooks Drive at Glebe Road spinning wheels. Deputies identified the driver as Louis Michael Ewing Jr. 38, of Easton, MD. Deputies detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage on Ewing’s breath. Ewing failed field sobriety testing and was arrested for driving while intoxicated. Deputies noted several open containers of alcohol in the motor vehicle. As a result, passengers Travis Reese Stafford 42 and William Howard Boyle 38, both of Easton MD were issued civil citations for open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. Stafford and Boyle were released upon their signature on the citations. Ewing was taken into custody, charged with driving while intoxicated and spinning wheels on highway, processed and later released to a sober driver after signing his citations.
DRUG ARREST: On December 23, 2016, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office stopped a motor vehicle on St Michaels Road near Plummer Drive for a traffic violation. The driver was identified as Allison Ann Lednum 33, of St. Michaels, Maryland. St. Michaels Police Department K-9 responded and conducted an open air sniff of the vehicle resulting in a positive alert for the presence of a controlled dangerous substance. A search of the vehicle revealed a smoking device and two hypodermic needles. Also located in the vehicle was marijuana with suspected cocaine. Lednum was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. Lednum was taken before a District Court Commissioner and was released on her personal recognizance.
On December 28, 2016, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 100 block of Miles Lane, St. Michaels, MD for an assault. Investigation determined Amanda Lynn Saunders, 19 of Preston, MD struck Jessica Daff, 25 of Federalsburg, MD in the face and head with a rock. The dispute was over Daff’s boyfriend. As a result, Saunders was placed under arrest and charged with assault. Daff was transported to Easton Memorial Hospital where she was treated and released. Saunders was taken before a District Court Commissioner and released on her personal recognizance.
DUI / ASSAULT ARRESTS:
On December 29, 2016, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office stopped a motor vehicle for an unsafe lane change in the area of Elliott Road and Matthewstown Road. Deputies detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage on the driver, Brianna Dicaprio, 21 of Easton, MD. After failing field sobriety testing, Brianna Dicaprio was placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol. During the traffic stop, two passengers, Kelsey Brigerman, 21 of Cambridge, MD and Jennifer Paige Dicaprio, 46 of West Palm Beach, FL interfered with and assaulted Deputies at the scene.
Brigerman was placed under arrest without further incident and was charged with assault. Jennifer Dicaprio continued to threaten and assault Deputies, causing self inflicted injuries. Jennifer Dicaprio was transported to Easton Memorial Hospital where she was treated and released. Jennifer Dicaprio was charged with assault, disorderly conduct, failure to obey a lawful command, possession of illegal prescription drugs and intoxicated endangerment. Jennifer Dicaprio was also found to be in possession of an electronic taser and pepper spray, which she threatened to use on the Deputies.
Brianna Dicaprio was cited for driving under the influence of alcohol and released to a sober driver. Brigerman was released on her personal recognizance and Jennifer Dicaprio was released on a $5,000.00 unsecured bond by the District Court Commissioner.
On December 28, 2016, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 2900 block of Chilcutt Road, Easton, Maryland for a burglary in progress. Investigation revealed Jose Luis Santos-Padilla, 30 of Whaleysville, MD had broken into his ex-girlfriend’s residence. Santos-Padilla broke out a bathroom window and gained access to the residence, entering the victim’s bedroom.
The victim fled the residence and called 911. Santos-Padilla fled the scene in a black in color Dodge Charger with unknown Delaware registration.
