Assault at 404 Taphouse, Denton MD. Former employee Sarah Rideout, 33 of Federalsburg, assaulted two other employees of the Taphouse.
According to Denton Police they arrested Sarah Rideout, 33 of Federalsburg, for assault and other offenses. Police were called to 404 Taphouse for a disturbance. On arrival police found the suspect being physically detained by an off-duty Maryland State Trooper who was also a patron of the business. Investigation revealed that Rideout, who is a former employee, assaulted two other employees of the Taphouse. The off-duty Trooper witnessed the assault and intervened to prevent any further assault. Rideout was taken into custody and during a search incident to her arrest a Tramadol tablet was found on her person. Tramadol is a scheduled prescription medication that Rideout did not have a prescription for. Rideout was charged with two counts of assault, possession of a controlled dangerous substance – not marihuana, disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace. Rideout was then taken before a District Court Commissioner who ordered Rideout released on her own recognizance after an initial appearance hearing.
