Talbot County Sheriff’s Office Make Arrests and Issue Warrants – (3/10/2017)

DWI ARREST:   On February 24, 2017Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office responded to Dutchman’s Lane near Dover Neck Road for a single vehicle accident.  Upon arrival Deputies located a white Ford truck, which had left the roadway and overturned.  The driver of the vehicle, Traveon Brice, 42 of Easton, MD was transported to University of Maryland Shore Regional Health for treatment.  Deputies responded to the emergency room and issued Brice traffic citations for failing to drive right of center, negligent driving, driving while impaired by alcohol, and driving under the influence of alcohol.  Brice was released on the citations.

    

 

BURGLARY ARREST:  On February 27, 2017, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office responded to Rise Up Coffee in St. Michaels, MD for a commercial alarm.Upon arrival, Deputies observed obvious signs of a burglary. Deputies were able to view security camera footage and obtain a description of a suspect. During the investigation, other Deputies were dispatched to a serious motor vehicle accident on Bellevue Road near White Hall Road. Deputies identified the driver as Christopher Lee Young, 34 of Royal Oak, MD, and identified Young as the person in the security video. Young was arrested and charged with burglary, theftmalicious destruction of propertydriving without a license and failure to return and remain at the scene of an accident. Young was seen by the District Court Commissioner and held at the Talbot County Detention Center on $15,000 bond.  

 

 

CDS ARREST:  On February 282017, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a blue in color Ford Escape for a traffic violation on South Talbot Street and Woodside Avenue, St. Michaels, Maryland. The driver was identified as Mark Harrison Cohee, 19 of St. Michaels, Maryland. K-9 “Raven” and her handler responded to the scene and conducted a K-9 scan of the vehicle, which resulted in a positive alert for the odor of a controlled dangerous substance.  A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of paraphernalia. Cohee was issued a criminal citation for possession of drug paraphernalia and released on his signature.

 

 

 

CDS ARREST:     On February 282017Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office observed a possible drug transaction in the parking lot of the WA-WA.  Deputies stopped two juvenile males and an adult male identified as Jose Luis Urena Jr., 19 of Easton, Maryland.  Upon searching the three males and their vehicles, Deputies located several clear plastic baggies containing marijuana, paraphernalia and U.S. Currency. One of the juvenile males was issued two juvenile civil citations for possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.  Thjuvenile male was referred to the Department of Juvenile Services and released to the custody of his mother.

 

 

 

WARRANT SERVICE:     On February 27, 2017Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office served an Easton man with three circuit court bench warrants.  Christopher Michael Carroll, 27 of Easton, MD was charged with violating his probation.  The original charges are conspiracy to commit armed robbery and possession of controlled dangerous substances with the intent to distribute.  Carroll is currently being held in the Queen Anne’s County Detention Center awaiting trial for a separate offense. 

 

 

 

THEFT ARREST:      On February 26, 2017, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Blades Road and Connolly Road to investigate a theft of a stop sign.  Upon arrival Deputies made contact with a resident in the area who had observed three subjects remove a stop sign post from the ground and attempt to load it into the back of a Jeep Cherokee.  The resident was able to obtain photographs of the vehicle and suspects as they committed the act. With the assistance of Talbot County citizens thru Facebook, the suspects were identified as three juvenilesa 16 year old male from Easton, a 16 year old male from Royal Oak and a 17 year old male from Neavitt, MD.  All three juveniles have been referred to the Department of Juvenile Services for theft less than $1,000 and malicious destruction of property.  The Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the citizens for their help in solving this case, as your tips and information were the key.   

 

 

 

CDS ARREST:     On March 032017, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a blue in color Saturn for a moving violation on Cordova Road and Talbot StreetCordova, MarylandDeputies identified the driver as Kenneth Martin Powell, 20 of Hyattsville, Maryland. Deputies detected the odor of marijuana coming from Powell’s vehicle and conducted a probable cause search which revealed marijuana. Powell was issued a civil citation for possession of marijuana and a motor vehicle warning for his traffic violation.  Powell was released from the scene on his signature.

 

 

 

CDS ARREST:      On March 032017, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a burgundy in color Kia Forte for a moving violation on Cordova Road and Tappers Corner Road, Cordova, MarylandDeputies identified the driver as Cheri LashaHunt, 23 of Dover, Delaware. Deputies detected the odor of marijuana and conducted a probable cause search of Hunt’s vehicle leading to the discovery of marijuana. Hunt was issued a civil citation for possession of marijuana and a motor vehicle warning for her traffic violation.  Hunt was released from the scene on her signature. 

 

 

 

WARRANT SERVICE: On March 032017, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office stopped a black in color Honda in the area of Island Creek Road and Kelly Drive, Trappe, Maryland. The operator of the vehicle, Marco Antonio Camacho Jr., 18, of Trappe, Maryland, had an outstanding warrant for possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute and possession of marijuana. Camacho was taken into custody without incidenttransported to the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office for processing and taken before a District Court Commissioner for an initial appearance.  Camacho was held without bond at the Talbot County Detention Center.

 

 

 

CDS ARREST:    On March 6, 2017Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office stopped on a black in color Chevy Cruze for a moving violation on Ocean Gateway and Rabbit Hill Road, Easton, MD.  Deputies identified the driver as Tevin Oshane Senior, 21 of Randallstown, MD. Deputies detected the odor of burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle and conducted a probable cause search which revealed paraphernalia containing marijuana. Senior was issued a civil citation for possession of marijuana and a traffic citation for exceeding the posted speed limit of 55 mph. Senior was released on his signature. 

 

 

 

CDS ARREST:     On March 7, 2017, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office stopped motor vehicle on Glebe Road for a moving violation. Deputies identified the driver as James Arnez Greene, 24 of Trappe, MD. Deputies conducted a consent search of Greene’s vehicle and located paraphernalia and marijuana inside the vehicle.  Greene was issued a civil citation for possession of marijuana and several traffic citations.  Greene was released from the scene on his signature.     

 

 

WARRANT ARREST:      On March 7, 2017, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jackson Ellis Walter, 27 of Easton, Maryland for a warrant issued by the Circuit Court for New Castle, Delaware. Walter was charged with three counts of burglary, two counts of theft and two counts of criminal mischief. Walter was held without bond pending extradition to Delaware. 

 

 

CDS ARREST:     On March 072017Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office stopped a white Ford Fiesta for a moving violation in the area of Aurora Street and Dover StreetEaston, Maryland. Deputies identified the driver as Tamija Kychae Brice, 22 of Easton, Maryland.  Deputies identified a front seat passenger as MarquanDortez Brummell, 20 of Easton, Maryland. Deputies detected the odor of marijuana and conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle and located marijuana on both Brice and Brummell. Brice and Brummell were issued civil citations for possession of marijuana and were released on their signature. 

 

 

 

 

Protection Order Violation/ Warrant Service:  On March 082017Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office stopped a gray in color Ford Fusion for a moving violation on Cordova Road and Three Bridge Branch Road, Cordova, Maryland. Deputies identified the driver as Brandon Chaplain Butler, 30 of Ridgely, Maryland and a front seat passenger as Brittaney Lynn Bostic, 26 of Barclay, Maryland.  Deputies determined both subjects had active final protective orders against each other, which ordered no contact with each other. Deputies learned Butler had an active parole retake warrant through the Maryland Parole Commission.  Butler and Bostic were placed under arrest and charged with violating a protective order. Butler and Bostic were released on their personal recognizance on this charge. Butler was turned over to Maryland Parole and Probation Agents on his parole retake warrant.

 

 

WARRANT SERVICE:   On March 082017 Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriffs Office, with the assistance of the Easton Police Department, stopped Tavon AnderickBowser, 29 of Cordova, Maryland in the area of Dover Road and Locust Street, Easton, Maryland. Bowser had an active Bench Warrant issued by the Talbot County Circuit Court. Bowser was placed under arrest, processed at the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office and incarcerated at the Talbot County Detention Center pending a hearing with the Talbot County Circuit Court Judge.

 

 

 

WARRANT SERVICE:       On March 9, 2017, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office arrested Samuel Stephen Batson Jr., 30 of Goldsboro, MD for outstanding warrants. On February 7, 2017, two warrants were issued by the Talbot County Circuit Court for failure to appear. Batson was transported to the Talbot County Detention Center and held without bond. 

 

 

 

CDS ARREST:     On March 092017Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office stopped a gold in color Honda Civic for a traffic violation in the area of Ocean Gateway and Laurwayn Drive, Trappe, Maryland.  Deputies detected the odor of marijuana and conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle, locating marijuana in a passenger’s purse. A rear seat passenger, identified as Kaiya Lamoni Hudson, 19 of Trappe, Maryland was issued a civil citation for possession of marijuana and released on her signature.

 

 

CDS ARREST:    On March 9, 2017Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office observed a suspicious vehicle in the area of Ocean Gateway and MatthewstownRoad, Easton, MD. Deputies identified the sole occupant as Shane David Okeefe, 47 of Manchester, NH. Deputies detected the odor of burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle and conducted a probable cause search resulting in the seizure of marijuana and paraphernaliaOkeefe was issued a civil citation for possession of Marijuana and released on his signature.

 

 

WARRANT SERVICE:     On March 09, 2017, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office served an outstanding Anne Arundel County District Court Bench on warrant on Bryan Thanh Lee of Easton, Maryland. The original charges were assault and reckless endangerment for an incident that occurred March 09, 2017 in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Lee was held at the Talbot County Detention Center without bond pending a bond review. Lee was served with a protective order which resulted from the same incident.
