Ridgely MD: George Preston Thomas Jr held on NO BOND victim says Thomas pointed a shotgun at them. – Preston MD: Jazzmin Jonelle Berry arrested for assault.

On March 13, 2017 at approximately 1136 hour,

Deputies were dispatched to 23000 block of Jonestown Ln. Preston, Caroline County, Maryland in reference to a 911 hang up. Upon my arrival, Deputies spoke with the victim at which time he advised he and his live in girlfriend, Jazzmin Jonelle Berry, had gotten into a verbal argument.

 

The victim advised the argument then became physical at which point he was punched in the face by Berry causing a small laceration on the inside of his lip and 2 small scratches near his right eye. During the investigation Berry pushed the victim in the presence of the Deputies. At this time Berry did not appear to have any sustainable injuries. Berry was then arrested for 2nd degree assault and taken before the District Court Commissioner whereby she was subsequently released on her personal recognizance pending a court date.

 

 

On March 12, 2017, at approximately 2353 hours,

Deputies of the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the lobby of the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office in reference to a domestic assault that had occurred in the 12000 block of School Street, Ridgely, Maryland. Upon arrival deputies spoke with the victim, at which time they advised they had been assault by George Preston Thomas Jr. The victim advised they got into a verbal argument which turned physical with Thomas. The victim advised that Thomas went to his bedroom, at which time he got his Mossberg 500 pump action shotgun.

 

The victim advised that Thomas pointed the shotgun at their person. Once the investigation was completed deputies responded the residence, at which time Thomas was taken into custody. Thomas was taken before Caroline County District Court Commissioner, at which time Thomas was held without bond. Thomas was charged with First-Degree Assault, Second-Degree Assault and Malicious Destruction of Property less than $1,000. Thomas’ case is pending trail.
