CDS ARREST: On March 25, 2017,

Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office stopped a 1994 Mercury passenger car for a registration violation. Upon completing the traffic stop Deputies obtained consent to search the vehicle from the driver, identified as Justin Scott Cook, 35 of East New Market, MD. Cook was found to be in possession of a suboxone strip without a prescription. Cook was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled dangerous substance. Cook was processed and taken before a District Court Commissioner and released on his personal recognizance.

 

 

CDS ARREST: On March 28, 2017,

Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office stopped a Mazda passenger car for speeding on Saint Michaels Road. During the course of the traffic stop, Deputies detected the odor of marijuana inside the vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle and driver, Levi Jones, 19 of Easton, MD revealed marijuana. Jones was issued a civil citation for possession of marijuana and released on his signature.

 

 

CDS ARREST: On March 28, 2017,

Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a Subaru passenger car for an equipment violation. While speaking with the driver, Sarah Pryor, 41 of Salisbury, MD a bag of marijuana was observed in plain view. The marijuana was seized and Pryor was issued a civil citation for possession of marijuana. Pryor was released on her signature.

 

 

CDS ARREST: On March 30, 2017,

Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle accident on Newtown Road in Queen Anne, MD. Upon arrival Deputies made contact with the driver, Paul Norman Baynard, 41 of Baltimore, MD. Deputies identified Baynard as the operator and sole occupant of the vehicle, and noted the odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath. Deputies observed a black backpack on the ground near Baynard, and observed controlled dangerous substances in plain view. Baynard was transported to University of Maryland Shore Regional Health at Easton for treatment and was released. Upon release, Deputies arrested Baynard and charged him with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of paraphernalia, driving under the influence of alcohol and reckless driving. Baynard was taken before the District Court Commissioner and ordered held without bond.
