Protective Order Violation:      

On June 21, 2017, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office were contacted by a female victim who advised her estranged boyfriend, Ricky Lee Hammerbacher, 55 of no fixed address was making contact with her in violation of a protective order. A records check showed Hammerbacher had been served with a protective order from Dorchester County District Court, and was in violation of that order by making contact and harassing the victim. Hammerbacher was located and placed under arrest for violating the order.  He was seen by the District Court Commissioner and ordered held on $5,000 bond.  

 

 

CDS Arrest:      

On June 21, 2017, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office stopped motor vehicle on Black Dog Alley near Kings Meadow Place for a moving violation. Deputies made contact with the driver, James Herbert Holsopple, 46, of Easton, MD and after detecting numerous indicators; K9 Raven was called to the scene to conduct and open-air exterior sniff for the odor of narcotics.  K9 Raven provided a positive alert and a search of the vehicle was conducted.  Deputies located 22 paper folds containing heroin and paraphernalia. Holsopple was also found to have an open warrant through Cecil County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear. Holsopple was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia. Holsopple was ordered held at the Talbot County Detention Center on nbond by a Talbot County District Court Commissioner.  

 

 

 

CDS Arrest:        

On June 21, 2017, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office stopped a motor vehicle for a moving violation. Deputies made contact with the driver, Robert Winfield Jackson, 28 of Capital Heights, MD and immediately detected the odor of marijuana. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted and Deputies located marijuana and paraphernalia. Jackson was issued a civil citation charging him with possession of marijuana and was released on his signature. 

 

 

 

 

Warrant Service:      

On June 19, 2017, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office served an arrest warrant on Brian Unruh, 43 of Hillsboro, MD. The warrant was issued on April 14, 2017 by Talbot County Circuit Court for failure to appear on charges of theft. Unruh was ordered held at the Talbot County Detention Center on no bond. 

 

 

Warrant Service:

On June 19, 2017, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office served an arrest warrant on Terez Andrick Jacobs Jr., 28 of Denton, MD. The warrant was issued on December 02, 2011 by the Talbot County Circuit Court for failure to appear on charges of burglary. Jacobs was ordered held at the Talbot County Detention Center on no bond.

 

 

 

Warrant Service:        

On June 23, 2017, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office served an arrest warrant on Curtis Glen Wilson, 44 of Easton, MD. The warrant was issued on June 21, 2017 by the Talbot County District Court for violation of probation on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol. Wilson was taken before a District Court Commissioner and released on his personal recognizance. 

 

 

Warrant Service:        

On June 24, 2017, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office served an arrest warrant on Gene Colin McCauley, 21 of Easton, MD. The warrant was issued on June 20, 2017 by the Talbot County District Court, charging McCauley with assault and reckless endangerment. McCauley was taken before the District Court Commissioner where he was released on his personal recognizance.
