EASTON, Md.- Police have arrested and charged an Easton man after a home invasion in Talbot County.

According to the Easton Police Department, 23-year-old Perry M. Bailey allegedly entered his ex-girlfriend’s home and put a gun to her head on July 4.


The next day, another incident with Bailey and the victim occurred, police said. The woman told police she was able to get away from the apartment and go to work on July 6. She additionally told police that while she was walking, she heard footsteps behind her and that Bailey was following her. According to police, the woman saw a gun in Bailey’s waistband. When she made it to work, she called police.


During the investigation, officers learned that Bailey was in an apartment on South Washington Street. Police knocked on the door numerous times, but Bailey would not come to the door, police said. Easton Police Department SWAT members and negotiators were called later that day on July 6, and Bailey eventually came to the door and was arrested, police said.


Bailey is charged with home invasion, first- and second-degree assault, burglary, false imprisonment, reckless endangerment, handgun on person and firearm use in a violent crime. He was taken before a Talbot County District Court Commissioner where he was held without bond.

    omg. this girl has mental issues.she just called the police on his cousins after she allowed them to stay there for two weeks and she stole his tv and game station. but she forget what she did plus he is on the lease, home invasion no. he lost his key and she went and picked him up. false charges cuz he wants to leave smh.
