TRAPPE, Md.- A motorcyclist is dead after a crash on Route 50 Thursday night. According to Maryland State Police, 37-year-old Derrick Brown of Cambridge was driving a motorcycle westbound on Route 50 near the Malkus Bridge at a very high speed around 7 p.m. As traffic slowed, witnesses say the motorcycle began to pass the cars on the road’s shoulder before going off the road and crashing, police said.
