Motor Vehicle Collision heading towards Dover Neck Road in Talbot County.

On July 31, 2017 at approximately 9:20pm

Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Chilcutt Road and Dover Neck Road, Easton, MD in reference to a motor vehicle collision.  During the investigation Deputies learned that a 2015 Jeep Wrangler was traveling south on Chilcutt Road heading towards Dover Neck Road.  The Jeep being operated by a 17 year old male of Easton, MD was driving at a speed greater than the posted 30mph speed limit.  The Jeep approached a left curve in the roadway when it ran off the road to the right, ran into a ditch, struck an embankment and overturned into a standing corn field.  The Jeep came to final rest approximately 150 feet from the roadway.  There were also two passengers in the Jeep at the time of the collision.  The front seat passenger, Chastity Jordan, 18, of Easton, MD and the rear passenger, a 16 year old female of Easton, MD were not restrained by seatbelts at the time of the collision.  The 16 year old female was ejected just prior to the vehicle coming to final rest.

 

The driver and Jordan suffered minor injuries and were transported to University of Maryland Shore Regional Health.  At this time their condition is unknown.  The 16 year old female was flown to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma where she was listed in serious but stable condition.
