On Saturday, September 30, local supporters of Compass Regional Hospice will host Bay to Table, an elegant dinner to benefit the Hope & Healing Center and Camp New Dawn.  The dinner begins at 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and will be held at a private residence on the Corsica River in Centreville.

The Bay to Table fundraiser will be hosted by John and Paige Evans and Zeke Warner.  The menu consists of the Chesapeake Bay’s finest tastes.  The $100 ticket price includes dinner, beer and wine.  The band Chesapeake Sons are booked to perform their popular, high-energy harmonies.

To add to the fun guests will bid on a variety silent auction items, as well as purchase 50/50 raffles.

The Hope & Healing Center is a collection of programs and services available for the family of patients who died under hospice care and members of the community who are grieving the death of a loved one. The menu of services offered through the Hope & Healing Center have a common focus- rekindling hope and facilitating healing following a significant loss. Services include individual and family grief counseling, grief support groups, school-based grief counseling, remembrance events and specialized workshops. One of the popular grief support programs is Camp New Dawn, an annual summer camp for children, teens and families, who learn how to express their feelings after the loss of a loved one.

“Fundraising is essential for our grief support services offered through the Hope & Healing Center because many of them are offered free of charge.  No one is ever turned away from our services due to their inability to pay,” says Compass Regional Hospice development officer, Kenda Leager. “On behalf of the individuals, children and families served through our grief support programs we thank Paige and John Evans and Zeke Warner for their support.”

Seating for the Bay to Table dinner is limited and tickets must be purchased in advance. For more information, to donate an auction item and to purchase tickets, contact Kenda Leager, 443-262-4106, kleager@compassregionalhospice.org.
