Burglary Arrest:   

On August 12, 2017, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 4000 block of Bar Neck Road, Tilghman for two reported burglaries. On August 17, 2017, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office responded to an additional report of a burglary in the 9000 block of New Road, McDaniel, MD.  Several firearms were reported stolen during these burglaries. As a result of the investigation, Jaycee Thomas Cummings, 39 of Easton, MD and Stephen Clay Reynolds, 25 of Church Creek, MD were developed as suspects in these cases. Investigation led to the recovery of the stolen firearms and the arrest of Cummings and Reynolds. Cummings and Reynolds were charged with burglary and theft. Cummings was seen by the District Court Commissioner for Talbot County and was held without bond at the Talbot County Detention Center.  Reynolds was seen by the District Court Commissioner for Dorchester County and was held without bond at the Dorchester County Detention Center.

 

Sex Offender Arrest:

On September 19, 2017, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office arrested Daniel Wesley Andrews, 39 of St Michaels, MD and a Tier III, Lifetime sex offender registrant on an arrest warrant for violating sexual offender requirements.  Andrews was charged with three counts of entering onto restricted real property (St. Michaels School) as well as three counts of violating lifetime sex offender supervision requirements.  Andrews was taken before the District Court Commissioner and was held at the Talbot County Detention Center without bond.

 

A month prior to this date, on August 18, 2017, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office arrested Daniel Andrews on an arrest warrant for similar sexual offender registration violation charges as well as six counts of violation of probation.  Andrews was taken to the Talbot County Commissioner and held at the Talbot County Detention Center.   On August 21, 2017 Andrews was released on a 15,000 dollar secured bond.
