Nicholas Rash charged with Motor Vehicle/Unlawful Taking. Also Caroline County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information in the following crimes to contact them.

On August 9, 2017,

Caroline County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the above address in reference to a stolen vehicle complaint. Investigation revealed that the 2005, white, Suzuki Forenza was last seen at the above residence on August 8, 2017, at approximately 2000 hours, however; was observed missing at approximately 0800 hours on August 9, 2017. During the investigation, it was later found that items from inside the other vehicles on the property had also been stolen. The vehicle was later recovered in Marydel Delaware, however; the other items are still missing.

 

After a lengthy investigation, a suspect identified as Nicholas Rash was generated, and an Application for Charges was completed. Contact was made with the Delaware State Police, who were able to locate Rash at his residence in Marydel Delaware. On November 29, 2017, Rash was extradited to Maryland from Delaware and served with an Arrest Warrant for this investigation, charging him with Motor Vehicle/Unlawful Taking, Theft: $1,000 to under $10,000, Unauthorized removal of property, burglary4th Degree Theft, Rogue and Vagabond. Rash was seen by the Caroline County District Court Commissioner and held on $2,500.00 (10%).

 

 

 

On Nov. 17, 2017,

Deputies of the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to 6000 Block of Newton Road, Preston, Caroline County, Maryland in reference to a burglary that had past occurred.

Upon arrival, Deputies spoke with the victim, at which time they advised that unknown subject(s) had broken into the unlocked garage door. The victim advised the subject(s) had removed a Easy-Go Golf Cart and its charger. There are no suspects at this time. On Friday, November 18, 2017,

Deputies from the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 200 block of Main Street, Preston, Caroline County, Maryland in reference to a malicious destruction of property.

Upon arrival, Deputies spoke with the victim, who advised the metal sign of the church near the roadway was damaged by a brick thrown into the back panel. The victim also advised that a section of bricks on the side of the building were damaged and broken. The victim advised egg shells and yolks were located on the building, with several empty egg cartons located in the nearby woods.

On November 27, 2017,

Deputies of the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the 4900 Block of Gina Ln, Federalsburg, Caroline County, Maryland in reference to a past occurred burglary.

Upon arrival, deputies spoke to the victim, at which time they advised that someone had entered their above stated residence and had stolen (2) Flat Screen Televisions (1) Wooden box containing sentimental items, (1) Jewelry box containing multiple rings/earrings and a gold necklace Anyone with information in regards to this crime please contact the Sheriff’s Office @410-479-2515.
