On December 11, 2017,

Deputies from the Caroline County Sheriff’s office investigated a fight between two juveniles that occurred near 12050 School Street, Ridgely, Maryland. Both juveniles were interviewed in reference to this incident with the appropriate charges being filed. On 12/15/17,

At approximately 0200 hours, an unknown suspect stole a Christmas projection light from the victim’s side yard. The incident was witnessed by a neighbor, who gave chase, but was unable to identify the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office.

 

 

On December 15th, 2017,

Deputies of the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to Everlea Ct, Preston, Caroline County, Maryland in reference to a theft.

Upon arrival, Deputies spoke with the victim, at which time they advised that an unknown subject had entered the yard of the above stated address and removed (2) Christmas decorations which were located in the front portion of the yard facing the street between the hours of 9pm on 12/14/17 and 6am on 12/15/17. The Christmas decorations are described as the following: (1) metal wire deer with working white lights and (1) white inflatable igloo containing a white polar bear. On 12/15/17

Sgt. Nepert responded to two residences on Two Johns Rd., Preston, MD in reference to the theft of Christmas decorations. The investigation revealed that some time between 12/14/17 at 2300 hrs. and 12/15/17 at 1700 hrs., unknown suspect(s) went onto the victims property and stole the above listed property. This case is under investigation.

 

 

On December 17, 2017,

Deputies of the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the 100 block of N. Academy Avenue, Greensboro, Caroline County, Maryland in reference to a possible domestic in progress.

Upon arrival, contact was made with Walter John Shinn III who exited the residence carrying a loaded Winchester Model 1200 20 gauge shotgun. Walter John Shinn III advised law enforcement that he was on supervised probation.

Further investigation revealed that Shinn III was prohibited from possessing a firearm and or ammunition. Shinn III was taken into custody and charged with Illegal Possession of a Firearm and Illegal Possession of ammunition. Shinn III was subsequently taken before a Caroline County District Court Commissioner and released on his personal recognizance.
