Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office arrest Keiford Lee Copper III, 18 of Trappe, MD – Patrick Thomas Guzi, 56 of Princess Anne, MD – David Lee Carroll, 29 of Cordova, MD.

CDS Arrests:      

On December 15, 2017, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 29000 block of Backtown Road for a reported medical emergency related to controlled dangerous substance use. Deputies made contact with Keiford Lee Copper III, 18 of Trappe, MD who refused treatment from EMS on scene.  Deputies located in plain sight, prescription pills, which were not prescribed to anyone at the residence and marijuana. Copper was placed under arrest and charged with possession with the intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance and possession of marijuanaCopper was issued a civil citation for possession of marijuana. Copper was taken before a District Court Commissioner and ordered held without bond at the Talbot County Detention Center.

 

 

 

Underage Alcohol Possession:        

On December 17, 2017Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office stopped a motor vehicle on Cordova Road at Ocean Gateway for an equipment violation. Deputies made contact with the driver, Jaydan Tytre Cabarris, 19 of Felton, DE and established probable cause to search the vehicle. Deputies located a small container of an alcoholic beverage and issued Cabarris a civil citation charging him with underage possession of alcohol.  Cabarris was released upon his signature. 

 

 

 

Warrant Arrest:       

On December 25, 2017Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office stopped a motor vehicle on Ocean Gateway near Idlewild Avenue for suspended registration.  Deputies identified the driver as Patrick Thomas Guzi56 of Princess Anne, MD and discovered Guzi had an outstanding bench warrant issued from Somerset County for failure to appear at a scheduled court hearing.  Guzi also had two outstanding fugitive warrants for failure to appear in Accomack County, VA.  Guzi was placed under arrest and ordered held at the Talbot County Detention Center pending extradition to Virginia.

 

 

 

 

 

Assault Arrest:      

On December 25, 2017, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 12000 block of Church Lane, Cordova, MD for an assault involving a knife. Deputies contacted Stephanie Nichole Sard, 28 of Easton, MD who advised that she was arguing with David Lee Carroll, 29 of Cordova, MD when he pulled a hunting knife out and attempted to cut her with the knife. Sard was able to escape without injury and contacted the Sheriff’s Office. Carroll was located and placed under arrest charged with assault. Carroll was ordered held at the Talbot County Detention Center without bond by the District Court Commissioner.
