Suspect:  Brian Manley Carter, of Greensboro


On September 17,2014,  at approximately 1528 hours, Tpr Heun of the Maryland State Police responded to Wothers Rd, Greensboro, Maryland in reference to an attempted first degree assault.

Tpr Heun met with the victim identified as Bobbie Jo Spiering. Spiering stated that while mowing the lawn at 114 Wothers Rd. Greensboro, MD 21639, a black ford pickup truck drove off of the roadway from Boyce Mill and through the lawn right next to her. Spiering stated that the truck was being operated by Brian Manley Carter. There were two other males in the vehicle, but Spiering was unable to identify them.

The men in the truck made obscene gestures toward her with their hands and were yelling out of the vehicle’s windows.  The vehicle then turned down her driveway to exit and left the residence driving back the opposite way on Boyce Mill Rd.

Spiering stated that she knows Carter through relatives.  Troopers responded to 14322 Drapers Mill Rd. Greensboro, MD 21639 and found the suspect Carter sitting in a black Ford F-150 pickup truck with DE registration which was parked behind the residence. Carter was found to be wanted through MSP Easton

Carter was placed into custody and processed for the warrant and charges for First degree assault, Second degree assault, Malicious Destruction of Property and the warrant.  Carter was taken to the commissioner and released on $10,000 unsecured bond for the new charges and on his own reconnaissance for the warrant.
