Missing Property – Stolen Wallet – Man Held on Bond – Assault Second Degree

On 09/17/14,

Between 8:30 pm and 11:00 pm, an unknown suspect removed an air conditioning unit from the victim’s window and entered the residence. Inside, the suspect took approximately 10 prescription pills and a wireless bluetooth speaker. No property was damaged in the incident. It is believed that the suspect was operating an unknown make and model vehicle during the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office.

On 09/19/14

Members of the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) responded to 232 Main Street in Marydel for the report of theft from a vehicle. Upon arriving on scene it was learned that the victim had left her vehicle unlocked, and that an unknown suspect(s) had entered her vehicle and took her wallet which was laying on the front seat. The wallet was recovered by Sheriff’s personnel in the rear of the property. Reported as missing from the wallet was only One Maryland Learners Permit, and two of her children’s medical insurance cards. No currency was taken from the wallet. The scene was processed by CCSO and is being investigated. Any citizens with information or seeing suspicious subjects in the area are urged to contact CCSO with the information. All citizens are also urged while the crime is being investigated to ensure their own property is accounted for and properly secured/locked when unattended.

Tanner Nye Tolson of Goldsboro, MD

The above listed suspect threw a large piece of cement through the front entry door glass and attempted to manipulate the lock but could not open. Fled the area but was later identified through video surveillance as the suspect. He was served with an outstanding warrant for the incident and held in CCDC on $10,000 bond.

On September 21, 2014

Approximately 0025 hours Dfc. Helmer was on patrol in the area of Main Street and Old Town Road, Goldsboro, Caroline County, Maryland.

During that time Dfc. Helmer stopped a vehicle on Old Town Road for a equipment violation. Dfc. Helmer made contact with the driver who was identified as Rigoberto Israel Aguilar Lopez. While speaking with Lopez I detected a strong odor of raw marijuana coming from the passenger compartment of the vehicle. Dfc. Helmer observed that Lopez had what appeared to be trace amounts of marijuana on his shirt. Dfc. Helmer asked Lopez if there was anything illegal in the vehicle, at which time he stated “Yes”. Dfc. Helmer had Lopez step from the vehicle, at which time a search was conducted within the vehicle. Dfc. Helmer located inside a back pack a clear plastic bag of marijuana. Dfc. Helmer also located between the center console and driver side front seat a marijuana that was not in a container or bag.

Lopez was arrest and taken to the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office where he was charged on 2 criminal citations. Dfc. Helmer also issued Lopez citations for the traffic offense and driving without a license. Lopez was also wanted through the Maryland State Police. After Dfc. Helmer processed Lopez he transported him to Queen Anne’s County where he was released to MSP.

David Allen Gifford of Hurlock, MD

The above listed suspect attempted to steal misc. scrap metal/aluminum from the Preston Ford Auto Body @ 218 Main Street, Preston, MD. He was taken into custody w/o incident, taken before the court commissioner and released on $3000.00 bond.

Sometime between 09/16/14 and 09/19/14,

Unknown suspect(s) forced entry into the vacant residence owned by the victim. Once in the residence, the suspect(s) stole a Home Interior lamp that was being stored in the residence. The suspect(s) then fled the area. Anyone with information is requested to contact the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office.

On September 8, 2014

Dfc. Helmer responded to 25886 Brookwood Road, Greensboro Maryland for a reported physical domestic. Upon Dfc. Helmer’s arrival he made contact with the victim who advised that his ex-girlfriend identified as Jennifer L. Koon came to his residence to retrieve their child’s car seat. The victim advised that once Koon arrived at his house she exited her vehicle and began arguing with him and pushing him in the chest area. The victim advised Koon was upset about him being in another relationship. The victim was not injured and did not require any medical treatment.

Dfc. Helmer spoke with Koon who advised that she was upset and told the victim that he better have the cops at his residence when she arrived. Koon advised that when she got to the victim’s residence she exited her vehicle and a argument began. Koon advised that during the argument she became even more upset, at which time she began pushing the victim several times. Dfc. Helmer spoke with several witnesses with all stories collaborating what the victim and Koon stated. During this incident there was also a 2 year old child present.

Koon was arrested on scene and subsequently charged with Assault Second Degree. Koon was taken before a Judicial Officer where she was released on her own personal recognizance pending trial in the Caroline County District Court.
